He was possibly just checking the glove box for stuff, you get some desperate idiots.

The porsche is interesting though, i've not seen a turbo body with those rear arches, so more than likely an aftermarket flatness conversion with some form of aftermarket wing extensions. I used to like the flatnose, but now it seems more dated than the conventional turbo. I was very surprised the spoiler took the punishment.

Can't believe his audacity! Broad daylight plus folk on the street and walking past (who appear to not comprehend what's going on).

IIRC the intercooler is in the spoiler on early turbos?

That's London for you, nobody gives a sh*t about anyone else...

Having said that, if it was in the right area of Glasgow, the passers-by would have helped him get it started.

Too True..

When I lived in the west end of Paisley in the early 90's my car and flat keys were stolen from my flat by a howler from Linwood my flat mate scored on the way home from a club :puke Long story but she tried to stab me with a big kitchen knife when I tried to eject her from the flat at my mates request :blackeye ...

At the time my car was a white MK3 XR3i that the boot didn't lock on. I went to my local car parts shop to see if they knew how I'd get another key. The guy behind the counter recommended a scrappie, the guy my side of the counter said you need the car started to get there? I said yeah, I have managed to start it with some wire on the back of the ignition barrel but the steering lock is stuck on.. He said no worries son where is the car? He chummed me to the car took a huge shifter out of the back of his van, put it on the ignition barrel and told me to hold the steering wheel tight, a quick wallop on the shifter saw my barrel split in half he then popped a screw driver in the barrel, turned it and hey presto I had a usable car again, good guy! hahahaha I used it like that for about a monyh til I had enough time and money to get a new barrel from a scrappie!

Local Jake up the road kept an eye on my car, it was never touched the hole time I lived there! Weegies are a great bunch :thumbsup

The guy breaking into the car is an absolute scumbag; I really hope that one day he puts in enough effort to be able to buy such a fantastic car and some other selfish lowlife destroys if for him.
As for London; I worked down there for 2 years and found the vast majority of people to be very decent hard working folk and no ruder than I experience in Edinburgh.
Having spent time down there, especially over the referendum times, I feel the vocal minority anti-English sentiment, here in Scotland (not this forum) to be frankly embarrassing,
