Chalk and Cheese, S1 v V6

Put some new tyres on the S1 today as the existing tyres were nearly 10 years old. Prior to that really didn't fancy pushing it too much as the tyres seemed very hard and skittish.

Anyway with new AD08r's fitted I decided to go out for a quick blast to see how she handled, I wasn't disappointed, really amazing. Completely different from the V6, everything seems so light and direct, so pure and true, really feels amazing.

As it was my anniversary today I had told the wife I was only popping out for 20 mins. 90 minutes later I got home expecting a bit of an ear full. But was met with " well by the size of smile on your face I guess you like the Elise". Oh yes but I need to get to know it a bit more before getting too confident or I guess it might bite back big time.

Now looking forward to next wee run out. :D

Great stuff. Will you be taking the S1 on track? If so, I suspect you might miss some ponies.

I did notice the lack of ponies for overtaking but it felt so nimble. I'm looking forward getting it on track to see what its like, although I'm not sure a winter's day at Oulten and Donnington is the place to find out what it's like.

Neither will disappoint but for me the the NA punches above its weight and is cheaper to buy and run so comes out on top :thumbsup

"You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the Evora pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." The Evora pill refers to a human that is aware of the true nature of Steering.
