Especially with Manor signing up Merc PUs for 2016.

It was fairly clear from the interview with Ron Denis at the weekend that Button is still under contract for another year and he was going to hold him to it.

Glad Button isn't retiring, but the chances of McLaren/Honda being properly competitive next year are minimal. Manor are going to have Merc power next season so unless Honda finally get the finger out there is the very real possibility of Manor beating McLaren in the championship . Shame to see a great driver and sportsman like Button in a dog of a car, but there is some compensatory pleasure is see Dennis being humbled

That's a shame. I'd love to see him in an LMP1 car. He's wasted as Alonso's sidekick in crap car in a boring series.

I would have liked him to finish his career off at Williams tbh although not likely a nice thought
