I just picked this up from PH.

Just how is it possible for someone to think this is acceptable opinion and even worse, how do they find someone else that thinks it's acceptable for publication?

She's just trying to get a rise out of you, Gary. Ignore. And she will find someone else to pick on from behind the safety curtain of her keyboard and smartphone.

One of the comments on the herald site summed it up for me. Presumably she'd be cool with someone setting fire to her house as she doesn't need anything more than a council house.

The problem with digital media is you cannot use it in the toilet where it belongs.

Anyone know how to clean a tablet.

I think it's unacceptable for the editor of a national newspaper to allow a column condoning vandalism. Value of the car is irrelevant. My daily hack Golf got keyed a few weeks ago it's not just $$ cars it happens to.

As for her opinion on swanky cars - who cares? she's just playing the class war violin to the idiots that read this type of paper.

Rag newspapers seem to have gotten a lot worse at this type of inflammatory crap since facebook etc came along. Like they have to carry this kind of piece to be relevant.

this adds to my hatred of the press - sensationalist extreme opinion to try to get column inches and create a name for herself. The editor distancing himself from it will be hopefully showing her the door although I suspect he will be rubbing his hand together at the national publicity

The Independent Press Standards Organisation has a handy form to deal with this article. I know I will be using it.

It's the paper trolling as part of some cappuccino-mocha-latte fuelled brain storming session with the marketing whizz kids (complete with pony tails, moccasins and a white board no doubt).

They figure they publish some rubbish like this and the article will go "viral" (these types use this sort of word, as I understand it) - that means a shed load of clicks = impressions = advertising revenue.

Where will it all end ...

That article is absolutely outrageous. Thanks for bringing it to my attention too. Professionalism of the team that publish such an inflammatory piece should be questioned.
