Crail karting this weekend.

Post by Stu160 » Tue Sep 01, 2015 12:19 am

While on Frolic, quite a few people were interested in seeing what goes on on a race weekend , and also having a go on a proper kart.
There is a race meeting this weekend at Crail if anyone is interested in popping along for a look, practice sat, and race day Sunday, will be cadets, and Rotax, and perhaps some juniors as well.
I will see some of the guys over the weekend, and look at perhaps getting together one weekend with some karts if anyone would like a shot, and get out on track.

Would love that! Keep us posted - although I suspect I may be at a weight disadvantage.... (getting excuses in early  )

Thanks for coming along Steve, it was great to see you and Kathy. Hope i put on a good show for you.
The karts are Rotax Max Mike, 125cc 2 stroke, with about 30 hp, so quite good fun, they make the V6 feel slow. Great racing, with 20 plus on the grid, 3 x 20 min races on Sunday.
There is one race left to go , 3rd and 4th of October, and i am currently leading the non MSA championship, however, with the drop scores, i thinki am about 5 points behind, but 75 points still available, so anything could happen. I will need to raise my game for the next round, or even better, hope it wet.

I also asked a few of the guys , and the next round of prokart is the 24th of September, if any of you fancy a shot, it will be in prokarts, twin engined 4 strokes, totally different from what you would drive on a hire kart event. If you can let me know, think you will have to take out a day membership, for insurance, so will confirm what that will be once I know the numbers.
