So yesterday I was in car driving through from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

Passing the easterhouse junction, I see about 6 or 7 neds on the bridge ahead running about, I say to girlfriend "I hate it when you see neds on bridges ahead"

As we get closer, they have wheelbarrows, and are hurling stones at the cars passing underneath. This is at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon.

Get closer doing about 55mph in inside lane, one of them points at me, and launches stone. I see it coming and do a seriously sharp laft then right onto hard shoulder, rock hits road next to car, and no damage. There were cars stopped further up mway, on phones (cops).

Now, what on earth would make anyone (a ned or not) want to do this, and what would you have done if you had been hit? I was f'ing ragin afterwards, and they didnt hit me.

Died, probably... More than one person has been killed by this sorta thing. They need strung up and flayed....

The cops used to park at the layby thing just after the queenslie turnoff where the speed goes down to 60 but the neds pelted them plenty too.

saw a similar thing a few months ago while i was in the audi. if you come off the M8 at eurocentral and head toward newarhill/new stevenston you drive under a wooden foot bridge. now in from of me there was a convertable bmw with the hood down cos it was sunny and i was looking at these wee neds on teh bridge thinking hey ho what are thye up to!? bmw driver obviously never saw them tho as he just drove on right into a deluge of water balloons!

it was well dangerous like as the bmw guy was all over the road for a bit and would have hit anything coming the other way but tbh i couldn't help but laugh!

stones however are not funny and i think i'd probably have chased the little fckers - even although that would proably have been a very ill considered idea but i tend to act and then think later! incidentally a guy i knew from school - very handsome guy actually - had his face pretty much taken off when someone threw a brick through a bus window! and i'm sorry like but 2 years in jail just doesn't cover it for me people who purposly set off to injure or kill others should be injured or killed themselves in punishment! eye for an eye and all that!!

Bit of an admission, I'm from the Midlands (Sorry ) But my family has had narrowboats for years and it's quite common to get rocks thrown off bridges. Been hit a couple of times too, not funny at all. they all need stringing up from the bridges. That'd learn em!

I also used to work in Belfast, they chuck breeze blocks off bridges there, they killed a bus driver not long back.

They should be strung up and stoned themselves. Then locked up and then the key thrown away!

So dangerous! Never had/seen this myself. Gone are the days when they wave/smile/thumbs up!!

I admit when I was a kid we spat on cars off a bridge as it was fun. I would not admit to coming from the Midlands though LOL.

Nowadays there appears to be no limits , kids will push and push the limits till something stops them. Usually prison when they are eighteen. I certainly would not chase them as A. I fight light a girl B. I am smaller than the average ned C. They carry big knives and are stupid enough to use them.

They should all be destroyed. I'd love to stand at the top of a bridge and throw neds at moving trucks!
