Help - Wheel Required

Post by Danny T30TUS » Tue Jun 09, 2015 7:28 pm

Hey Guys,

Don't suppose anyone in the Aberdeen area has a spare wheel with a Tyre I can borrow for the front drivers side? Elise S2 K series.

Just got home from work and thought the car was pulling to the right. Got out to check and sure enough a massive screw has decided to nest itself into my Tyre between the tread.

Wouldn't mind but the Tyre has plenty tread left on it.

Plan is to take the Tyre to a garage to get it repaired if possible. I don't expect the car will be fit to drive by the morning hence the need for a spare wheel.

Hopefully someone can help. I can collect and return the wheel as soon as possible.

Thanks

Danny

Sorry nothing to fit your car. On previous punctures with screws I've had to buy a new tyre as it was unrepairable. Maybe worth just blasting it with a gel spray and limp to garage?

Hi,

I have S2 rims with some sort of tyre on it ... probably road legal ... probably hard as nails so would suggest you avoid anything other than normal road driving!

I am away all day - back tonight - could arrange collection tomorrow night if that works?

Edinburgh.

PM me if of any use.

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks for the offer Robbin. I've no immediate plans to be in Edinburgh also in the process of moving jobs and house so not much time available.

Thanks

Thanks Scotty,

Would you mind if I popped round to have a looksee at them?

I put some air in the Tyre this morning and it's not going down as fast as I thought it would. Will hopefully pop round to a garage at lunchtime to see if it can be repaired.

I will let you know if I need to borrow or buy your wheels.

Thanks

Danny

No worries - they will happily continue to rot in my garage - I hope you get your tyre sorted painlessly.

Thanks for all the offers .

I managed to get the Tyre repaired today for a mere cost of 19 quid.

Happy days.

Scotty - once I've got my move sorted out I will send you a pm regarding the wheels.

Cheers

Danny
