Quite pleased to hear that news. He's creative, a good presenter, a knowledgeable car enthusiast, etc. Immeasurably better than most of the names that have been floating around.

...fascinated to read his hair colour matters.

AND....he's fun, without being childish like Clarkson. he'll bring some fresh and interesting ideas to the show, he's quite possibly the best candidate, so bravo Beeb

Enjoyed the trip down (happy) memory lane with the TFI Friday thing last week, even if it was just regurgitating the old format.

Also agree I cannot understand what his hair colour has to do with it

Glad Evans took the job. I hope Hammond and May go with Clarkson, and Evans gets a completely new team, making a proper Top Gear 2.0 instead of Top Gear 1.5. Needs a totally fresh start and some new ideas.
