GAP

Post by rawsco » Fri Apr 17, 2015 3:00 pm

Hi Folks...

Any recommendations for GAP insurance for my S2 Exige S, seems that they can be written off seemingly for even quite minor bumps due to high repair costs and long delays in sourcing parts etc.

Should only be a couple of hundred quid for invoice cover for 3 years.

I used a online gap insurer car 2 cover in the past. Its was quite cheap. Never had to claim but all appeared ok.

I've certainly found in the past that on-line you can get vastly superior cover for a fraction of the cost that a delaer charges.

Again, I've never had to claim but I got replacement car cover (so they pay out as much as needed to buy you the same model of car again- handy when I got my car on a VAT free deal and the new equivalent model is now about £6k dearer!) for about half the price the dealer wanted for basic GAP cover (not useful for me as I always make sure I have a big enough deposit to avoid negative equity).
