Lotus sales news

Post by ryallm » Tue Apr 07, 2015 3:22 pm

Some more Lotus good news on PH http://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-brit ... cent/31946

I remain sceptical about whether Lotus can survive long term without a close alliance with a major manufacturer, but improving sales has to improve the chances :thumbsup

They would seem a great fit for JLR, and that support network/ engine expertise would be great..

Heck if aston can do it with Mercedes powertrains..

This is really good news but Im not surprised.

I thought I would never buy a new car but you cant help but look at the 50/50 deals on the elise club racer or other models, building a house means its not happening this year but I can dream (something Ive not done about new lotus for while). I think along with the other models they have a nice sweet spot just now and long may it continue.

I've been doing my bit to help. ;)

Actually the Scottish numbers must look fairly healthy... :D

More good news if you haven't seen it on SELOC or TLF......
I am very proud to announce that we have just signed up to be a new Lotus Sales and Service dealership from our premises in Henley on Thames!

After many years of running as an independent Lotus specialist the opportunity arose to take this big step forwards and we are grasping it with both hands. I’m very encouraged with the work being done at Lotus by the new CEO Jean-Marc Gales and his team and I really believe they are turning the company around for a sustainable future. The current product line up is terrific, the V6 Exige is an awesome car, the Elise is more relevant today than ever and the new Evora 400 looks like a true supercar and I can’t wait to drive one myself.

Taking on the dealership means we have access to better training for our technicians, all the relevant diagnostic equipment, better parts supply and all the additional back up you get within a main dealer environment. What doesn’t change is our friendly and enthusiastic staff, our enormous experience of the brand, our thorough approach and our ability to tune and upgrade these wonderful cars.

Over the last 5 years we have grown a very successful car sales business and built up an experienced sales team who can now offer the best new Lotus product with the very best customer service. Our first new cars have just arrived today and we welcome enquiries and orders immediately so please do not hesitate to get in touch.

For those of you who are looking for service work with that important main dealer stamp we can do that right now along with warranty work. We are still in the throws of getting signage and furniture finalised but we will have this all done in weeks not months to take full advantage of the sunny season. There will be a launch event and of course all of you will be invited and we will advise on dates in due course.

On a personal note this is a big moment for me as I have been a passionate Lotus fan all my life. I will never forget the first time I drove an Elise and how that led to me owning the road car before progressing to racing one. Over 10 years down the line from seeing my first chequered flag in a Lotus, through Britcar, British GT, LOTRDC and GT Cup, starting out as a Lotus Specialist, helping many, many customers tune and enjoy their cars it seems like a natural progression for my business to join the dealer network.
Exciting times lie ahead and I very much look forward to welcoming the both new and existing customers into the dealership.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

They have offered great levels of support and advice to Europa owners for years. They should do well.
