The EU Referendum......

Post by tut » Tue Apr 07, 2015 11:51 am

.....is a dangerous undertaking. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on the pros and cons, as are most on here, but I prefer to leave it to those who are specialists in the subject to make decisions of that magnitude.

How ever we are putting it out to the UK population, a large percentage of whom will have no idea whether it is good or bad for us and I often refer to as "The Great Unwashed." There are enough programs on TV to illustrate this and we could end up with a "leave" vote which in my opinion would be a disaster. We are too small an economy to go it alone and cut ourselves off.

Like many I would like to pick and chose which parts we concur with, I am sick of the Courts of Human Rights overruling our own Courts decisions, but that is not part of the deal.

So I am starting my own Independent Party, "Tut's say No to the Referendum Vote", so I trust I will have your full support and not lose my deposit.

Couldn't agree more, in fact I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on ALL subjects (see posts passim) however even I think this one needs left to the specialists. It just so easily becomes a one issue ballot.

Personally I think we should stay in the EU. I think we should simply ignore rules we don't like. If we get any flak just set up a sub committee to investigate ways in which to improve compliance .... and forget to ever ask them to report back :-)

Cheers,
Robin

If we'd just gone with the independence idea this could be all a reality by now.

You could be President of Scotland!
