NLC. Sky, moving home

Post by PhilA » Wed Mar 18, 2015 4:47 pm

Hi,

Anyone moved home and had Sky?
I am going to a temporary house for a while - no idea how long.
Im paying full price for everything, and been offered a wee bit off, but not much.

Any deals going, and is it worth leaving and returning once ive found another place?
Mind u, it may take some time to find another place, so may want to get sky in the temp place.

Gotta do similar with BT.

All new to me!

Cheers
Phil

A Now TV freeview box will give you most of the Sky content if you pay a monthly sub. for the packages. Cheaper to install and no commitment other than month by month package.

Are you still in your Contract period Phil, if so you will have to see it out or pay a penalty? I am moving next month but mine will be a permanent move, so I take my equipment with me and Sky will install a dish and connections for a £25 charge.

I don't know about Sky, but Virgin media will "move you for free*"

The * means that they will also renew your contract for 12 months when they move you for free, so be cautious.
I'd be tempted to cancel and sign up (possibly with discount once you find a permanent place.

This! I moved 2 weeks ago and it cost me £25 for them to install a dish and the cabling to both boxes.

They also gave me 50% off fibre broadband for 12 months when I moved.

Keep at it, I got 25% off after my special offer deal of half price ended.
Mind you I did use the old sob story that worked on the Sheriff.

oh, the offer was 35% off everything.. which wasnt enough, so got 50% off of main tv package too. works out at 40% saving overall.
