You might need a bigger venue soon. What have you got lined up for the star attractions this year? The Red Arrows
Looking forward to it already.
Steve.
Edited to add: just noticed that whats coming is red and flies.

I've had nothing to do with the plane! The other organiser - James - is a commercial pilot and he loves his planes. We have definitely secured the stunt plane (excuse my ignorance as to what it is!), but James is still talking to the RAF about something else too. Maybe too late or too far north to get them though....
Otherwise we are looking at some cool displays: some form of karting display/ race, top fuel drag race display, a super-Moto race (to keep the bikers happy), drifting display, rally display, the manufacturers will demo some cars on the track + the normal speedfest events like the auto test and pursuit and early birds. However, for fun we also thought about having a drag race competition for competitors too! [all this is still subject to confirmation and nobody else knows but i can share it with you guys as we are quite excited!]. We might make some subtle alterations to the track layout to add some spice....
There is definitely more emphasis in 'raising the bar' this year and trying to make the event more upmarket. Hence the push to get some top end manufacturers to attend and support us - many of them with their mobile event units and factory support (so we might see some very unique and special cars - (McLaren are very excited about something). There will always be people ready to criticise that we are changing and that we aren't the same country show that we used to be - but I think we are really just trying to appeal to the general demographic of the area. With Mclarens and lambo's 'common place' in Aberdeen it is actually very difficult to offer spectators something new! It's not been easy - and who knows if we will pull it off (but we are both ready for the haters to chip in with their criticisms!!)
We are now at the absolute limit of space...... We won't move from the GTM (although we have nothing to do with the museum we simply use their venue). It's now a matter of trying to be smart with the space we have and hope that our final choice of line up and layout is to everyone's (well most everyone's) liking.
Roll on the 6th July when I can go back to work and put this in a box until next year!!
