Tony Yule in yesterday's local Aberdeen paper, the Press & Journal;

https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/li ... e-profile/

That's impressive that you have managed to get all of these manufacturures signed up "Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, Porsche and Bentley." :thumbsup

No MMC?

Have you a link to the Facebook page Tony?

Brownie points if you can get an Aventador, La Ferrari, GranTurismo MC Stradale, 675LT, and a GT3rs all together. :popcorn

Steve.
You can now add Aston Martin and Rolls Royce to the line up too (and possibly Caterham and Morgan as well). Im still working on Koenigsegg but they are proving a bit slippery.
No MMC? - not for the want of trying. Ive lost count on the number of times I have asked them (and I have even kept 1 pitch available for them), but I can never get any commitment. Maybe coming to the frozen north isnt in their forward looking sales strategy??........

Im fairly certain that we wont get a La Ferrari  .... but I think we can pretty much cover the rest 8) ...... Ive been promised some tasty cars will be made available from the factories to attend the show..... Its a surprise to me at the moment, but Im excited to see what is coming along :?: . Im hoping for some racing cars along with new models.

Its been a total ball ache to get to this stage - but hopefully it will be worth it in the end! As long as everybody ends up having a good time then I guess the hardwork is worth it! (Not sure if Mrs Yule feels the same though as its a full time job!)

Hopefully it works. Please like and share if you can people. Its a little out of date - its been a rough couple of weeks, but I should get it updated at the weekend :)

There will likely be a La-Ferrari in Aberdeen by then, there are a few Aventadors, Maser GT MC's too, GT3RS' might be too, but only if the owner already has a 918?

You wont get a 657LT this year ;-) next year however...

Looking forward to it already. 8)

Rather not, Alford has been a killer for both N3's, but maybe that is just my driving.

Clutch and gearbox get a real hammering with the power on such a short track, standard cars are much better.

You are always so sure Clark aren't you? How do you know what will and won't be there? The manufacturers haven't finalised the line up for their stands yet - so unless you know something they don't I'm not sure you can make such claims. I'm certainly careful not to as I don't want to let anyone down by committing to things we can't deliver. However the converse is I don't think it's fair to definitely say what won't be there when you have no idea.

For sure there may be some private individuals in Aberdeen with these cars - but entries come through me alone - and I've certainly not seen anything of such exotic-ness yet.

By all means if you want to offer your services to organising the event then you only have to ask James or myself. You've always got an opinion after all.

I've had nothing to do with the plane! The other organiser - James - is a commercial pilot and he loves his planes. We have definitely secured the stunt plane (excuse my ignorance as to what it is!), but James is still talking to the RAF about something else too. Maybe too late or too far north to get them though....

Otherwise we are looking at some cool displays: some form of karting display/ race, top fuel drag race display, a super-Moto race (to keep the bikers happy), drifting display, rally display, the manufacturers will demo some cars on the track + the normal speedfest events like the auto test and pursuit and early birds. However, for fun we also thought about having a drag race competition for competitors too! [all this is still subject to confirmation and nobody else knows but i can share it with you guys as we are quite excited!]. We might make some subtle alterations to the track layout to add some spice....

There is definitely more emphasis in 'raising the bar' this year and trying to make the event more upmarket. Hence the push to get some top end manufacturers to attend and support us - many of them with their mobile event units and factory support (so we might see some very unique and special cars - (McLaren are very excited about something). There will always be people ready to criticise that we are changing and that we aren't the same country show that we used to be - but I think we are really just trying to appeal to the general demographic of the area. With Mclarens and lambo's 'common place' in Aberdeen it is actually very difficult to offer spectators something new! It's not been easy - and who knows if we will pull it off (but we are both ready for the haters to chip in with their criticisms!!)

We are now at the absolute limit of space...... We won't move from the GTM (although we have nothing to do with the museum we simply use their venue). It's now a matter of trying to be smart with the space we have and hope that our final choice of line up and layout is to everyone's (well most everyone's) liking.

Roll on the 6th July when I can go back to work and put this in a box until next year!!

Steve.
I would only consider the pursuit in N3 with Tut's consent, 3 laps against another car will not bother the car at all, but I wouldn't like to do any more,

Passenger rides etc would be too much for the car as its fairly highly strung, short space and not a lot of speed to allow proper airflow for cooling etc.

Tony.

I was only referencing cars that should be with owners in Aberdeen by then - not signed up to speedfest, as of course only you, James and the committee know that, and of course if there are such car in Aberdeen that I know of - I will put you in touch with the owners, I am certainly not having an 'opinion'.

If McLaren Glasgow are allowed to bring a 675LT then bloody great, but customer deliveries are not due until 2016.

I think it is great that you have taken on planning and organizing of the event along with James, as you know I would be more than happy to get involved, that is why I have been open to your suggestions to my privately for the day, however, I simply do not have the time to devote large chunks of my week/weekends to the event this year, next year however, I may be in a different situation.
