Anyone passing Decathlon at Hermiston Gate?

Post by hendeg » Thu Nov 20, 2014 12:51 am

I want to buy something from them but it's only available in store. Is there anyone passing by soon that could collect it and send it up to me?

Thanks,
Gary

Brandon or Craig can probably pop along in lunch hour ;-)

Just kidding.

I pass there from time to time. Next week any good?

Thanks for the offer Campbell. It sounds like shoomer will be there sooner so I've sent him a PM.

Cheers,

If you are stuck, and whatever it is were to be in stock at Glasgow Decathalon, I could probably get it for you. :thumbsup

Thanks Dom but it turned out that they didn't have what I wanted at Hermiston Gate, despite saying they did online. Same again at both Glasgow stores. I'm trying one on the midlands now!

I don't get the fuss about those doughnuts - they are average at best. Is it just because it's an American brand? - in which case I get it even less. :scratch

And that's coming from a fat barsteward who likes his cakes

I agree, they are pretty average, and cost £££. Maybe they are one of those things that taste amazing in the US, but due to different legislation, don't taste the same in the UK ?

Hype / taste / cost wise, I classify Nando's in the same category...
'16 MINI Cooper S - Family fun hatch
'98 Lotus Elise - Fun day car
'04 Maserati Coupe GT - Manual, v8, Italian...
'18 Mazda Mx5 - The wife's, so naturally my daily
'19 Ducati Monster 797 - Baby bike bike

Anyone passing the two Oliphant Bakers shops in Linlithgow should try one of their doughnuts instead.

Is this a reference to Krispy Kreme?

If in the Dundee area, I cannot recommend Fisher & Donaldson fudge doughnuts or coffee towers enough

Fisher & Donaldson would get my vote, long before Krispy Kreme. Bakeries in Cupar and St Andrews if you don't visit Dundee.

I agree on all counts. I remember when dunkin doughnuts opened in Glasgow and the Krispy Kreme ones aren't any different. Think I preferred dunkin doughnuts. Think I'm just tight and grudge the price.
