S1 Tow Post

Post by woody » Thu Oct 23, 2014 11:22 am

Looking for a bit of a favour please. Does anyone have an s1 tow post they could measure the length of or an S1 crash structure to measure the gap?

I'll be taking the clam off over winter to replace the crusty original but I'm finding it difficult to accurately measure the length with the clam in place. Found a length of titanium bar in my materials pile that's being turned into a replacement.

:cheers

Make sure it's strong.

It's only a matter of time before that shed needs towed.

I will measure mine next time I am up with the car, it's currently at a jaunty angle after the supercharger belt crapped out and I was dragged into the paddock in shame.

The tow strap loosened and then yanked it hard and the bottom fixings gave out, the clam stopped it gojng flying
