VX 220 crash

That's a big one... On a side note, I didn't realise the VX220 pedal box was so tacky compared to the elise ones. Not often you get such a good view....

There were two views on it, one was the harness did not go through slots in the seat so could slip down the shoulders, the other that being thrown out could have saved his life.

Not sure we'd ever know what the difference over staying in the car and being ejected would ever be for the occupant in this case, but what you can say for sure is the restraint system failed. Never been a fan of harnesses without the appropriate seats and this does nothing to persuade me otherwise.

VX damage aside, it's been a hell of a bit crash though to kink the A pillar on a fairly modern car that'll be circa half a ton heavier.

Its a nasty one eh?
Never seen one of these chassis snap like that before. I was kinda hoping that the rescue folk cut it until I read he was thrown from the car.
