No spoilers in case anyone wants to watch the highlights later, but I loved everything. The cars sound good and look great, go well, it doesn't look slow, close racing, very tactical. So many good drivers in the line-up, and enough sponsorship behind it to make it look proper.

I really don't understand all the hate for this series... I've been looking forward to it for ages, and was not disappointed.

I wasn't sure of it when it started. The noise reminded me of my scalextric and the cars looked a bit flimsy. Then the more I watched it and the in car shots with the cars sliding a bit more than F1 and how they really need to have a great corner exit to slowly creep past on the straight. Is there a fixed time for the car change over? Seemed to be a bit of a delay when the drivers were in their second car, but perhaps just the start up sequence. Felt this detracts from the whole race. Overall it got my interest once I stuck with it and last 5 laps were fantastic. :thumbsup

Would like to see it on a real short track, i.e. Cadwell, but they have to go for street circuits I suppose to get the crowds.

Just been reading up on the specs and it would seem that all the cars are identical and produced by the big names in F1, so as far as I can see the teams can not do anything about development. Even so there was a lot of talk about testing and that some teams were short of it, but what can they test apart from the drivers getting used to a new type of car? They have some control of the battery usage, but not much, then there is this fan boost which I presume was not being used today as it gives an extra 40hp. Weird situation though as you tweet in and it is the most popular drivers that get it.

It seems that next year the teams will have some control over the cars, but they will have to be careful or money could talk, and because of the low speeds a small increase in top speed would make a big difference. I presume that there is no weight limit as the cars are identical, so lighter drivers would have an advantage.

Pity it was not Prost AND Senna as that would have brought back memories.

The last five laps were electric! Resistance is futile as the frequency of races will mean they'll get a positive press rather negative although I'm fairly neutral about it. Proton are entering a team next year.

Caught the second half, defo worth a watch.

They're all Renault Sparks this season and power capped. Might get quite interesting next year.

Cars sound guff though, to be expected.

Just caught up with this today and I thought it was better than I expected, the down sides are the Fanboost and the annoyance of the background music making it like a video game.
