So... Looks like I'll be spending a couple of nights a week in Gosforth for a bit.

Anybody know the area and could recommend any hotels in walking distance from the Virgin Money offices.. Ne3 4pl ?? Ideally nice ones that also would do mega deals for a poor day rate contractor paying out of his own pocket to stay there please!!

We have been working in the Newcastle area quite a bit recently and been staying in the Travelodge Gosforth, restaurant next door plus a McD's and a BP/Spar on site to

Gosforth is a far better place to be than Seaton Sluice

It's way too long since I lived in the NE to be of any assistance with accommodation but the area was always well thought of and well served with good quality restaurants and hotels.

Amazing how quickly spending the odd day in Newcastle has turned into spending 3 days every week there.

F'ing agencies. Seems a few other white lies may have been told.

I'll be having words on Monday and probably contract hunting again.

Only hotels I have used in Newcastle are Mamaison and Hotel Du Vin (Same group)......even with a deal you are looking at £80 per night.
Newcastle can be a bit lively at night......not for someone of a nervous disposition.
