BTCC this weekend

Post by Kinger » Thu Aug 21, 2014 10:34 pm

Weather looking good for Sunday, was thinking of heading down. Anyone else going along ?

Hoping to get down early so I can get Exige parked in a Lotus friendly position.

Cheers

I is going down but got myself some form of VIP ticket which gives me special parking somewhere and access to grub and a tent pitched in some mud near to the outside of the hairpin.....just about the braking point....

As you may have guessed this is being arranged by a friend and they have all the detail. What I do know is that I am leaving for 'Duchally' estate at 1630 today Friday. This is our base for the weekend. Back home Monday....

I have also been advised not to take the Lotus as the parking down at KH is not very Lotus friendly. Instead taking the dear wifes mini. Kinger...Drop me a text or give me a call if you decide you are heading down....

On Sunday we will be there from around 0830, traffic permitting....

Exige 240 (Gone but not forgotten and will be replaced)

I'm there both days. About to head off soon. Chief Scrutineer for the weekend, (effectively just the support races) so I'll be wandering about the paddock.

Not going down, but looking at the parking, the Blue Badge would have been useful if I had.

However disabled drivers could have problems as KH have stated that the badge has to match the cars reg, but Badges do not have a reg on them, they can be used in any car with the holder present.

Hope you have a good day out Martin and Kinger.

I am away to watch qualifying;

I did not know that local lad from Abz, Glynn Geddie was now doing BTCC?

What times can the Elises/Exiges get around KH roughly?

In the region of 55-1:00?

Can the 211 and Atom do it in under 55seconds?

Steve.

In Q for car park. Reaches back to Saline turnoff. Not as long as in the 90s though!

Watching KH on the iPad, Spa on the MBA with BBC, and on TV with Sky Sports.

Made the race more interesting though, some good wheel to wheel passing.
