It's not a problem, our EU exit after independance will ensure powerful vacuum cleaners for all!

This level of legislation/regulation is ridiculous, it's a small step from this to limiting engine size in cars!

....and this is at the same time as we are experiencing a slow down in global warming that cannot be explained and is expected to last 10 years
So - things are better climate wise than we predicted but don't worry, it's just a blip and doom and gloom will be back on target in 10 years.

It's not global warming it's "climate change" which explains any minute difference in temperature from last hour/day/week/month/year/decade.... It's all down to that nasty plant food (CO2) don't you know?

Mean while China is also building nuclear power and is predicted to be the worlds largest renewables producer (prob already is if you include hydro power) to ensure a level of sustainability in energy supply, while we sit back, relax, and claim it's others problems because "we won't much difference"..
I suppose the main "advantage" China has in these issues is their political structure and will (as in, there's one will.!)

This is one rule I actually don't mind. Surely it will prompt development and innovation to produce the same suction with a less powerful motor, similar to what is happening with car development and all the hybrid tech that is around.
I actually don't believe that global warming is an issue but what affects us all is the cost of energy/fuel whether that's electricity Gas or Petrol/Diesel. It's not cheap these days so any push to develop more efficient technology is a win win in my book.
Technology will keep progressing...........
