Day off today = drive across the hills

Ah finally I had a day planned off last minute... Glorious sunshine, kids at school and Georgie happy to look after our wee Jacob meant freedom to hit my local roads for 4 hrs today.
Target was to head to Ballater / Tomintoul via some of my favourite roads like the old military road. I was delighted to find hardly any cars anywhere I went today days like these are rare for me but when they happen they're awesome.
The outcome was a fantastic day out finishing up with picking up my daughter from school at 3:15pm. Home In time for afternoon cake and coffee.
