probably not a useful comment but it's only one digit different from my original registration. Registered with murrays in December 99.

Helpful - no, co-incidence - yes :-)

That is actually helpful, I'll see if guru Craig knows of it... :thumbsup

It looks a very good spec for the money with some decent upgrades, coming up as sold on PH though.

Lack of any history is the reason it's priced as it is, bit of a gamble? Hope to view on Sunday... What would a Sabre stage 1 give 130bhp?

Bollox! That'll be the end of that then.... Don't you hate holidays, can't travel to view anything as tanning my cheeks by the pool.....

Cant recall what a Sabre stage 1 is. If its porting, polishing and larger valves its probably a wee bit more.

Elo. I spotted that S1 too last night , lack of history was a worry however and put me off. I guess it depends if you want to keep it for a long time. For me it would be a nightmare to shift again I suspect when I wanted to trade up to a yota derivative. Worth a gamble if you are planing to keep it.

(edited to say, just spotted the sold comment. Was only up for hours too)

Serviced with SLS and originally a Scottish plate so I guess I could have cobbled together the history. Sold in a few hours though so wasn't to be :(

I thought you had one already Mark?

I spotted it yesterday afternoon and told my mate it would be gone in 6 hrs....as Scott said, if it was to be a forever car it was a great price!

For reference a KR1 head on otherwise standard car will give you approx 140-150 BHP depending on the rolling road :-)

It's better than a 135 head, having better porting and bigger inlet valves.

It's a great upgrade for anyone with a standard S1/S2 looking for a bit more power.

Cheers,
Robin

Hey Mark,

I have one lined up but the owner has had a better offer so may need to walk away and find another :(

Cheers

Ah, never nice when that happens. I'm trying to hold out for my perfect spec but the warm weather makes it tough ;)

All the best with the search :)

Managed to find mine on Del's old site V174ESG.. For some reason most of the pics of mine have the front number plate missing....
