Interesting - afterwards portrayed as Seb letting Daniel by after clarification of strategies - but I couldn't decide whether this is what happened, or whether he just ran wide in the corner and Daniel took the place.

Either way, it doesn't sound like a happy Seb in that car ... though he's approachable enough in post race interview, and honest enough to say he was slow ... fingers crossed they get their act together to avoid Mercedes having too easy a time of it (which would be dull, apart from Lewis and Nico slugging it out).

Christian Horner's post analysis fitted the events a little too accurately. Funny how they switched Seb's strategy after using it as the excuse to get him past. I'm sure Christian loves being asked about Multi 21 every time team orders are played.

Does look like RedBull might be closing the gap. Without which as Robin says the season will be pretty dull.

Not sure how long the two Mercedes drivers will stay friendly for unless they share firsts.

Indeed. Sharing firsts, however, will only be detrimental to each of their championships. IMHO, Lewis surely has the high ground, given his performance and results (Yes, I know Rosberg leads the championship, but that only due to Hamilton's mechanical failure at Aus).

Respect to Mercedes for allowing their boys to race though!

I agree , its good to see them being allowed to race but I think that Hamilton is the most likely to be given no 1 status but they cant really make that call when Rosberg is ahead, so they need to let the DNF impact reduce before they can declare him lead and push Rosberg to support.

It certainly looked like a running wide on entry when trying to defend, rather than intentional cooperation. As often, Horner's comments were unconvincing. Behind closed doors, and ignoring the success he's delivered behind the wheel, I wonder what some team members privately think of their wunderkid's attitude.

I don't mind a team dominating so long as there's an intra-team battle to relish. As we have had so far. Somewhat unlike Ferrari and Red Bull in times of dominance. Kudos to Merc for bravely giving us a show. It has the makings of '88 which was a fantastic season despite one car being entirely in a class of its own.

…but there are signs Red Bull are closing the gap, how long till Renault are allowed 'reliability' tweaks… o/t I am delighted to have been wrong about Ricciardo, he's doing a good job at diminishing Vettel's 4 back-to-backs!
