I know some of you have owned Nissan 370Z's, so would appreciate your views on this car.

Car and spec look good, but what should he look at as a starting offer with no trade in?
Cheers

It's an auto. Is that intentional? A sports car with a pedal missing doesn't seem like the sort of thing you'd stand for.

Will check with him, but he likes Ian's Audi TTS which has the S-Tronic gearbox.
Kids are different nowadays.

I would get an insurance quote too, through a work colleague know of a £5k+ quote for a young driver despite a clean bill of health re accidents and convictions.

I've got a 2012 / 62 TT-S Black Edition with the S-Tronic box for sale if you're interested... it's only done 10k miles

Tut, that looks a very similar to mine which is 2010 so without the reversing camera and silver alloys rather than smoke.
I'd recommend he drive the auto as may be quite different to the Audi S-Tronic. Suits me as it's the daily shed and potters about quite smoothly. Compromised ultimately though as it doesn't quite provide in gear response mid corner. Friendly, hairy beastie with the ESP off.
23mpg it normal
He should look for a manual 'GT Edition' variant at that sort of budget...nicer damping.
Not that that I'm up on pricing but I didn't pay much more than that when mine was 1yr old and 3K miles...

What he wants is a Fiesta ST. Cheap insurance, 40mpg. Semi automatic just leave in third.
Just so happens have one available.

I would agree, you won't go far wrong with a Fiesta ST
370z is the x-box generation choice though

He has just bought this one. Train down to York on Sunday. It was a CAT D, but only for a front wing and door and it has been repaired perfectly. Price is a few thousand less to reflect this and it is a 2012 Demo car, so has all the options. One owner with 7,000 miles and the GT model with auto 7 speed box which is what he wanted.

Also white with black, so all the Duncan cars are now the same colour.

Lots of GT spec around tut but this is the 'GT Edition' I mentioned with the better handling...gets my approval.
I've now spent his remaining budget:
