Can anyone recommend a good treatment for the screen on my Evora?

The dirt seems to stick to the screen in the swept area a lot more than it does in the unswept area. I'm guessing it's had some sort of treatment on it that has worn off?
I've tried Rain-x and the Mer screen treatment but they only lasted a day or so then it seemed to get worse.

I've had great results with these products on other cars so I'm at a loss as to what the problem is with the Evora.

Possibly time for a new wiper?

One of my pals (a very good mechanic) had always strongly advised against putting rainx on the windscreen for road use. He says it's fine for a week or two, but then just gets very smeary as the wipers wear it off. I use rainx on my side windows to great effect, but never used it on the windscreen.

Autoglym glass polish has worked well for me.

I used PIAA silicon wipers on the Evo and they were excellent. Gives a rainx type effect all the time, every time you use the wipers it gets refreshed and they lasted years. In heavy rain at about 80 you didn't need them on at all.

lol i'm a cheap barsteward and just use mr sheen furniture polish - smells all nice too.

I've ordered the PIAA silicon one to try.
Hope it's good, over £32 for one wiper blade is pretty steep.
Bull sperm was even more expensive.

Your own? That's what I'd use if I had an Evora sitting in the drive.

RainX has worked well on our screens for years. And the less you use the wipers, the longer if lasts.

Used it on the headlights in 2010 when commuting to Dundee as the salt used to build up on them and needed chipped off before the return journey. Of course that was when I had a lot of time on my hands

Did you only order one? What happens when the passenger blade goes over the area cleaned by the silicon one, assuming it does? Two is definitely your best bet otherwise you'll have three different areas on your screen, a nice bit where the silicon one is on it's own, the middle ground where the silicon one wipes and the non silicon one overlaps (not sure how that'll turn out), and the third area with just the non silicon which will probably be dragging some of the coating from the silicon one and smearing it across the passenger side or alternatively wiping off the coating in the overlap area.

I had two on the Evo from when I bought it in 2006 and they were still on it (and still effective) when I sold it this year so in my book they were a bargain....
