Looks remarkably similar to Robert Kubicas rallying accident that nearly resulted in his hand being amputated :shock:

Article states that the guardrail "went cleanly through the windscreen and out the back" but it looks more likely the car went backwards onto the metal spike.

Horrific all the same :shock:

It looks like the rail is still attached to the wooden post behind the car, suggesting it's gone in backwards.

Clearly a thick reporter tho - anyone who had looked at the pictures would know the car went backwards!
