bike helmet

Away to start cycling to work again, which I used to do years ago, but to be honest I've never worn a helmet...
I know naf all about helmets, so can someone recommend me a cheap one that wont make me look like a complete muppet

I've just bought a new cycling lid.
Hate to tell you mate but they all make you look like a muppet, or worse!

I use one of these - muppet appearance or not, I don't want to take chances with safety

It's the most comfortable cycle helmet I have had.
Still,... did not stop me being knocked off my bike yesterday

Heads are different shapes. Helmet makes are different shapes.
Find models that match your head, then worry about muppetry choices

Best to pay a visit to your LBS (local bike shop) and try on a range from different manufacturers. I bought a Giro quite recently at about £100 mainly because of the fit but I'd avoid scimping on such an important accessory
