Changes to North Sea Choppers

Post by rossybee » Thu Feb 20, 2014 7:22 pm

Mention of reducing number of seats, not flying in bad sea states, and stopping fatties from flying...

All good for safety, but will be a real ball ache from a logistical point of view...

Agreed it's for the good but will be a nightmare to manage.

How the companies will start implementing this is anyones guess- but we are all focused on safety in our industry and thats why these changes will help .

Wonder if they will bring weight restrictions into the medicals- alot of big guys offshore.

Lots of discussion about this in the office today.
Out project goes off shore in July 2015 and we're just putting the logistics plan together now.
Looks like the plan will be changing now but in what way I'm not so sure.
