Re: Tut is this your sister?
She really turns it into an art form. I know what she means when she says she can feel the ground etc, but she really gets euphoric about it.
I get the same reaction sometimes and have used the same response "damn it, I knew I had forgotten something"
I miss read it at first and thought she had said that she had run a half marathon after two weeks, as it took me years to get to that stage. I also carry the flip flops for when I go into a shop or restaurant, and have to wear wellies if I am going to be walking in snow for more than five minutes.
However I bought a pair of Ugg type sheepskin boots a couple of weeks ago via Groupon, and being one size larger with a furry inner and no socks, they actually feel rather nice.

ps:- before you say it, I know, I am turning into a big pussy.

Lassie after my own heart, but more likely to be Robin's as he sometimes drives barefooted AND paints his toenails.

I've held back from commenting on this subject but also regularly drive without footwear...not bare-footed unless abroad.Find it far more comfortable and easier to get a decent driving position.....haven't started on the nail painting yet though.
Only hassle with the Lotus is the lack of room to store the footwear when you're driving and trying to get the damn things on before you get out in the pissing rain to fuel up,etc

Re: Tut is this your sister?
Bare foot is great, but not so good in our climate.
I got used to not wearing shoes when I lived in Oz. Used to go to the supermarket etc. barefoot, much preferred it but my Mrs thought I was going a bit feral.
Since moving back here I've got used to wearing footwear again, maybe I should give it another try?
