Worth a watch on the iplayer but tomorrow's episode looks even better, Ari Vattenin teaching him how to rally in Finland.

That 2nd episode had me reaching for the Mini section of the classifieds.

Like many, the original mini was my first car, and the thought of mint example with some power would be awesome.......... if only I had the garage space. And the money.

No Phil, I backed out of it after Test Drive. I hated it.

Thanks Ross - missed this thread.

Dave - sounds like you made a great decision backing out - couldn't imagine you living with that level of compromise for no smile factor.

Watched on iPlayer last night. Vatinen made the program - what a great man. And who wouldn't want a day in a 6R4 at (what looked like) Curborough?! 8)

But have to confess the 'street' style of presentation (and factual inccacuracies, eg. saying the modern Mini entering WRC in 2001) irritated me.

1st programme did nothing for me, the 2nd I really enjoyed as Ari is one of my heroes and I met him a couple of times when he was at the top of his game :thumbsup
