Don't want to put in a spoiler in case anyone has not watched yet, but wasn't it great to see the winner park his car in the middle of the track with the engine running then go along the wall and thank and wave to all the fans.

Then get back in the car and do four perfect doughnuts, there was only one set of tyre rubber, and laugh when he was fined £21,000 for giving the fans some enjoyment.

ps:- Pirelli will be charging him for the damaged tyres next. Did you see the cars coming in after doing one lap on the softs, farcical?

Can't agree more. Not a big fan, but good on him.

The Pirelli tyre choice may have made it an interesting race, but it was farcical.

brilliant. not a big fan either but F1's way too serious for its own good. need more antics like that from the drivers

I do respect him and his chief designer - they are aware of the achievements they have made and are humble about it. Doesn't stop me liking other drivers more :thumbsup

I think his third one was a bit slow , but then I am a perfectionist ...

I don't normally watch the F1, find it rather dull TBH but I did watch this one and enjoyed the doughnuts :D

Then I watched the Goodwood Revival - now that's proper racing, it was excellent.

Four World Championships in a row and he is still only 26.

If the car specs were staying the same then Shumacher's record would soon be passed, but next year is a whole new ballgame.
