Battery Booster recommendations

Post by scott_e » Tue Oct 22, 2013 11:51 am

I purchased a Battery Booster for the Exige after the battery died in 2007 in winter on the way home ..... time of year and I overloaded it with Trackers .... . A neighbour rescued me with a Booster and I purchased one the next day. It was approx £69 at the time from Halfords. Cannot see it now but this is a “battery booster”:

Knowing Halfords kit can be flaky does anyone know of a good alternative ?

Its a great bit of kit really, saved us on a few occasions over the last 5 years (most recently due to a small child leaving all car lights on) ....

Looking for family.

Cheers
Scott

I use one of these. It has a connector that you can fit to the battery so it is really easy to plug in / plug out. It also does not over charge the battery when it is full.

Should add - that is not a portable booster, but should keep the battery in good condition to avoid the need for a booster. :thumbsup

Lidl do a rebranded CTEK trickle charger for buttons, I believe it is on sale now. Used mine the last 3 years with no issues.

I bought this one:

a few years ago from Halfords when I had my S1.

I now have a trickle charger on the Exige so don't use it at all, would be happy to sell it to you if interested?
It has been used a handful of times, recently only to power my tyre compressor but it has always been kept charged.

No idea of value, let me know if you are interested and we can come to an arrangement.
