I always loved the dash binnacle box that could be fitted on either side of the dash for reduced cost left/right hand drive.

I spotted a rather rusty looking silver SD1 last night, it's under a tattered tarp outside my mates garage in EK.
Always loved them when I was a kid. One of the lads in school used to nick his dad's V8 auto and go hooning round EK in it. Eventually took out a bus stop with it, luckily nobody was in the bustop at the time.

I used to get a lift to work in an Interceptor many (many, many) years ago, and, despite the fact that it was tired and in need of TLC, nothing I have been in since has had the sense of occassion you get from a run in it - a truly stunning car

My dad had a 3500 SD1 when I were a lad. Gold paint. Same interior as above. We loved that car waaay too much. When it inevitably rusted, a local restorer hand-rolled a full set of replacement panels for it in aluminium!

Love SD1's

per my list on the unusual car desires thread. Stems from my dad's boss who had a 3500 in BRG in the late 70s which we had the use of for the odd weekend when he borrowed my old man's Austin Princess for the weekend because it had a tow bar.
