LR Evoque - 9sp Auto (NLC)

The facelift Evoque will have a 9sp automatic option 
It wasn't that long ago that cars had 4sp auto boxes. The new gearbox is reportedly 7.5kg lighter, up to 10mpg better on fuel and lower Co2 emissions. Can't help thinking it will spend all it's life changing up and down and never really settle in a gear especially in town driving so the changes will need to be uber smooth and seamless.
