Better Investment than any Bank or Building Society currently, go for it, can't see it hanging around for long

I'm heading into Lotus Newcastle tomorrow lunch time so I'd be very happy to spend time looking over it and asking any questions if you'd like?
Just let me know.
-Mark.

If it's a weekend warrior that you are after, I would just remind you that the engines are the weakest link and may " let go"
However if the nice man at Lotus puts a warranty on it you will have peace of mind for the first year.
If it's investment potential you are after I think you are in reasonably safe ground at that price
One of my previous specimens has changed hands again for the equivalent of £38k
(Just had full top and bottom end rebuild with 24,000 miles)

I know I am only going on Internet photos but it looks a bit bright silver? I don't think the silver is as shiny as that and it looks like its had paint from the photos.
Identical miles / spec to mine that I sold Matt for 16.5. Would have cost £10k to keep it going over the last 5 years mind

in fact, £26k is more than me and Phil bought both ours for combined.

ITs described as new aluminium silver (which is original as per the Exige Register (Car 517)) - I have been advised it needs a couple of bits of paint, the driver door lock area has blistering and the roof where the hatch rubbed against. - Where do you see it looking like its had paint? I cant tell from photos, but a 12 yr old 38k mile car must have had a stonechip spray on the front and sides or even more. I have asked for no paintwork done, would rather take as is than a "cheap to sell paintjob".
Havent fully decided anyway, waiting for Mark to give me some feedback today.
Yeh the days of sub £20k Exige S1s and 340Rs are long gone. My 340R was £18k from a maindealer, and sold for less than that to rocket to Euro31k. Bitter? No.
Dom, how can you tell it has aircon?

The air vents on the dashboard IIRC (the square ones in the panel facing the occupants).

That is utterly stunning and in the best colour! New aluminium is actually a very bright silver!

we looked after one when I briefly worked at SLS but we'll not mention that
