Went to look at this yesterday and all being well should pick up in a couple of weeks........for Mandy.
She's lusted after an old Landy for a while and we nearly committed in 2009 but bought a new Fiat 500 instead, well "life really is too short for nearly" so here it is.
Don't think she was this excited when we got married....had to nip to the shops for Tena ladies for the trip back from garage!!!
Guessing we'll get loads of firewood in this for beach parties.
Even managed to sneak "Buttercup" into the pic

Awesome. Landlines really are a perfect addition to the Lotus owners garage. Really miss mine. That looks well specked too

Yeah,300 Tdi and not long had a full rebuild with galvy chassis.
It's a 1996 but in good condition,approx 120000 miles
Suspension all up rated,2" lift, cranked arms, dislocation cones, air locking rear diff...the previous owner spent a smallish fortune.Even put a new winch and bumper on the front a month before trade in...seems mental to me.
Don't have a huge amount of Landy knowledge but seems like a sound vehicle and will certainly cope with all the potholes round here and the snowy winters we've been getting.Means I can get up to Caithness all through the winter also......if she gives me the keys
Looking forward to hurling about in it myself, nice and simple, much like myself!!!

Had mine for just over a year now and love it. Offers the same unique driving experience I got with the elise... obviously slow as fcuk but the back to basics driving is a pleasure after hundreds of miles a week in the passat.
Done a few drivng days through the owners club but its basically used for dogs and horse duties mainly at weekends. Have towed a few lorries out of muddy show grounds!
Mine is also a 300tdi which is the best engine option. Apparently when its replacement came out, the MOD got thm to retrofit 300tdi's .
Edit to add:
Not sure how a capable driver your missus is, but tell her to take it easy in rain etc. We went from freelander 2 which had all the electronic gizmos that 'helped' her corner and brake. The landy wont hav all those things to keep her out of trouble.
