Well I'm 30 something lateish lol, clean licence, full 7 years protected no claims and one accident when we had all that snow, minor bump. no visual damage to other car and I didn't claim, paid for the repair myself as it was so minor I didn't want my insurance affected. I did mention it as the 3rd party might have put in to get their bumper buffed, even if replaced max must have been £500 as it was a sheddy old vectra I nudged lol..
Car is an Audi A4 1.8T sport that i've had for over a year, renewal came in and it's gone up a little so I decided to shop around.
Renewal £440
Compare the meercat.. £287
AVIVA £1080!
Clearly do not want my business lol!
They must prey on folk who do not shop around and just buy into TV advertising??
That or they clearly do not want anyone with a previous on their books!
Looks like I'll be getting another stuffed meerkat toy this year lol

I noticed similar ridiculous amounts when I was getting a quote for home & contents insurance. The most expensive quote was over £600 more than the cheapest
I dont remember the companies involved but cheapest and most expensive were both household names. Clearly some companies simply dont want new business

You didn't expect logic, surely?
For balance, I went with an Aviva mulit-car policy recently, as it was the cheapest deal I could find.

Another

for Aviva from me after a hideous renewal quote from Admiral Multi-Car. I have the A4 (business use), S3 and S-Max with Aviva for £615 a year with Guaranteed NCD and that's with a fault accident in 2009 plus a few windscreen claims

Thats cheap! Just paid £400 for the elise alone.
Though, is yours parked up insurance?

My experience was similar to mark's. apparently weren't taking my no fault claim into account but were £250 more than admiral for landy and BMW for equivalent cover.

Aviva have been good to me with the F360 Spider. Premium has been £300ish for the past 2 years which was about £200 less than most quotes. By coincidence the renewal came in this week at £325 which I was going to just auto-renew but I got a quote online with Admiral for £220.
Previously Admiral were in the silly money "we-don't-really-want-the-business" price and I was so surprised that I had to phone them to check that everything was above board. No doubt next years renewal will be double or triple that, but it will do for now.

Of the 4 cars I insure, I used to use Adrian Flux but then got a silly renewal for one of the cars. The renewal letter invited me to phone them if I got a more competitive quote, I did phoned them and said if they were unable to give me their most competitive quote up front they would loose my business, I then declined their renewal and moved to the NFU. Funnily enough when the next car came to be renewed it was a good quote. I guess the sales software is programmed to find the suckers - don't give in!

I won't take out insurance with Aviva while they persist with sh*t adverts with Paul Whitehouse in them - utter utter crap
