Aberdeen Help Needed!

Post by Fluoxetine » Tue Jun 04, 2013 8:21 pm

I've placed a deposit on a pair of front seats being sold by a chap from Aberdeen - Usually I'd have brought the car up to collect them on the way back from work (offshore), but I'm flying to Newcastle for a course the day I get onshore (18th), so couldn't do that this time.

Chap's hoping to have them out his car within the next fortnight, and did offer to drop them off somewhere in town if need be - I'd be able to collect them on 19th / 20th of this month. (Or make use of the SE Pony express if anyone was heading down near Stirling soon?)

Can anyone provide a home for them till then? :cheers

Cheers guys :) - If Craig knows someone who's possibly be heading south towards the end of the month, that might be ideal (while I could collect them on the 19th / 20th, it's a 6 hour round trip...And I'm catching a ferry to Belfast early on the 21st).

I'm in no rush, as I won't be able to fit them for a bit (my car will be in Ireland from the 21st of June > early August) - But obviously I don't want them cluttering up someone's space!

I'll be driving down to Knockhill on the 22nd June for the track morning if that's any help. I work beside the AECC.

Thanks again folks :thumbsup

In conversation, it turns out that the vendor actually knows you, John - From various KH events... Small world! :)

Anyhow, cheers for the offer, but I'm heading over to Ireland the previous day, and I'm unsure if I could arrange for someone to head over to KH to pick them up? (My folks live in Alva, 15 miles away, but are currently incommunicado on holiday in Alaska, so I can't ask them).

I've had a look at the diary, and the next time I'd be planning on having the car up in Aberdeen would be the 12th of August.

I've moved the goal posts a bit here, and appreciate most wouldn't be keen to have two seats lying around their dining room for that amount of time...

Scotty - Would there be space to leave them at the warehouse till early August? (Or sooner, if anyone was heading down south?)
