Car Audio Gurus

Post by DDtB » Fri May 31, 2013 12:34 pm

Hands up if you're a car audio guru!!

Having a few chats in the office here with a guy who spent £2.5k to change the head unit in his 996. Problem is the M. O. S. T. And fibre optics.

I'm convinced there must be easier options despite the number of threads on every porker forum saying there isn't. Also suggests there is a big gap waiting to be filled if a clever bod cones up with a wee upgrade package!

So... Floor is open. Step forward peeps!

I did my boxster years ago, new speakers, amp and becker head unit but I think it was a pre MOST car so no issues. What is the issue with MOST why can't you just wire an entirely separate system and ignore the FO and Most wiring.

Why do you want to change it?

I run the standard headunit in my van with a 4 channel amp.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Have you thought about fitting a sports exhaust instead?

What are you wanting to achieve mate? Better sound quality or more connectivity?
