Lotus Sabbatical

Post by Clarkie » Wed Apr 17, 2013 4:17 pm

Unfortunately adding to the list of retirees from Lotus ownership :(

7 years in total, 111R for 2yrs and the Exige for the last 5, after deliberation it's time for a wee sabbatical
Plan is to get back into something for the track next year, usual work/family stuff leaves little time at the mo for cars
No veiled purchases in the background, definitely no V6 Exige/Evora on order etc!

Track days in both cars have been epic, highlights would be trips to Donington, Oulton Park and Angelsey. KH days had a new lease of life last year with the move to reverse format :thumbsup
TT2007, Walshy day in 2009 were great experiences
The plan was always to have done more.......................................

Exige is at MMC and will be coming up for sale shortly once Craig has prep'd for sale.

I bought new from MMC in April 2008, Exige S Performance Pack model with 240 bhp, performance/touring and sport packs.
Ardent red with grey alcantara/leather seats with red stitching, Lotus logo’s in red on the headrests.
4pt Schroth ASM harnesses on both driver & passenger
Only 15,800 miles covered 8) :thumbsup

4 pot big brake kit with 308mm AP rotors, TRD airbox, had a 2bular exhaust but Craig is refitting the standard exhaust.
Lightweight forged wheels, Adjustable traction/launch control etc.

Maintained regardless of cost, regular oil changes, brake fluid changes, gearbox oil changes, air filters etc.
Geometry was done this time last year at CLCM to fast road spec.

All work/servicing carried out by MMC, they'll have all the history/details on file

New battery at the start of this year, A048 tyres all round new last September

Currently in MMC for annual service and MOT (passed without issue).
Craig has the go ahead to replace front rotors/bolts, new front brake pads, redo paintwork to front splitter, lower doors & sills.
To all intents and purposes car will be immaculate once Craig & Co have worked their magic

Cracking car, low mileage, well looked after IMHO :D

Brandon and Craig at MMC are the guys to speak to 0131 200 8888

If anyone needs further history/info on the car drop me a PM

Cheers

Clark

What are you doing with the 2bular exhaust?

I might be prepared to offer you a derisory figure for it. :D

On that note, I will speak to Craig about the harnesses... Mine is the red Exige been in Murrays for a month and will be the next three weeks.

Plan to sell mate, all offers welcome :thumbsup :D
Above diffuser exit so you would need to remove the number plate panel or think the mesh grille to the right can be changed to accommodate

Commiserations, Clarkie, both on the sale and the post-count - must try harder ;-)

Keep the chat coming.

Remember, don't have to have an Elise to occupy a bar stool in this place...
