NLC E220 Estate?

Post by Titanium S1 111S (gla) » Fri Apr 12, 2013 2:12 pm

Since I am now a commuter I need a car which gets more than 25mpg and which is comfortable.

The budget is a bit strained by the fact that I am currently feeding the families of half of the tradesmen in west central Scotland so something like this is looking most likely, although it won’t be this one.

Does anybody have a view or experience?

TIA.

Mercs from that era were far better nailed together than a few years previously, but were still not great. When I worked with the chauffeur company, they had about 20 E220 CDis and almost half of them had issues with their turbos.

For your requirements, I would be looking at a volvo of that vintage. D5 :thumbsup
