Video editing for GoPro?

Hey All,

I've used Adobe Premier CS3 for years importing directly from the camera. I realised the other day that editing native MP4 isnt so easy and you certainly can't output mp4 files.

I was wondering what everyone uses to edit their footage? I'm talking Windows here, I know all the iLife owners will be wondering what all the fuss is about. ;) I can't really afford to go the pro Adobe route again so looking for cheaper options.

:cheers

For quick and dirty edit's I use quicktime on mac but all you can do is trim clip length and post to youtube. Not sure if the windows version does the same.

I have been previously been using VideoPad as it is fairly simple and intuitive to use but the latest update was a pigs ear so I have just splashed out on Corel Video Suite Pro which is in a different class. Fortunately the way it works is similar enough to video pad to let me get into using it.

You can get a 30 day trial version of it here: http://www.corel.com/corel/product/inde ... 13012#tab3

Infact I think you can get trial versions of all the video editing software.

I had problems with MovieMaker previously on my Vista machine, and also on my XP netbook. I'm now using Cineform Studio (http://gopro.com/software-app/cineform-studio) on my Win 7 PC and it seems to work well.

Another vote for Sony Vegas. So good, it can do things my graphics card can't ;-)

I cut my teeth on Windows Movie Maker but eventually it runs out of talent. Or is it the other way around...
