Majority it's still wired, and tightly locked down.

Networked PC's are heavily monitored, and most run Websense / something similar for browsing.

Those that run WiFi have a limit to the number of connections, and kick after a period of inactivity to stop people connection hogging.

Bandwidth is an issue, on anywhere without a fibre optic link - Our company uses a radio link to ping pong off other platforms acting as repeaters, till it gets to the one with fibre optic installed - Think bandwidth is something like 20mb...(But all files are stored on the servers onshore / we use Cisco IP spy phones, so it does get used... )

People plugging in USB sticks / drives is the biggest issue, I guess - If you use a networked machine / have a log in, it's your responsibility to run a scan when you plug it in. If you don't and the company gets hit with a serious malware issue...I wouldn't want to be in your shoes...(!)

Aye, started by me :D

Wifi offshore is generally slow, many theories why this is, some reckon it's to stop folk streaming and downloading movies etc

Any particular reason you ask Sanj? Or just being curious?

Curious with thoughts of an opportunity.
