Not been a good month. Two of the three caught in the Cairngorm avalanche today have died, and the third is critical.

Very sad indeed.

Pisted runs vs climbers though.

I would be waiting for the HSE report on the Lecht though.

I was at glenshee last weekend, good cover and pretty good conditions on the pistes, some icy spots where the wind was blowing everything away. It was very windy in the morning, but I was impressed that they opened up lifts as soon as they could. So overall not a bad day.

It's been about 10 years since I've spent a day at glenshee, and the ageing equipment was noticeable compared to what I'm used to in the alps. But it can't be easy running and maintaining a ski centre with our random conditions.
