Anyone watch it tonight with the 10 yr old XK?
50% reduction in carbon monoxide emissions and the hydrocarbon ppm went for 500+ to 50.
Essentially they isolate the fuel system and had a wheeled on unit provide fuelling for 60 mins with cleaners running through it. Said it was v new and your garage might not have it yet.

Do you know any garages that have it in the central belt?
May be good to put Sandra's 20yr old 911 through a clean in preparation for the MOT.

Ps loved the episode of Wheeler Dealers but disappointed they did not put on a full exhaust system & went for the back box. At least it give me something to change if I win it

I doubt whether this is cost effective. Can anyone enlighten me as to the cost?
Bardahl have a product which cleans the fuel system most effectively, and the E10 Fuel improver increases fuel economy by around 10% and reduces CO2, CO, NOX etc by approximately 25%.

The programme is a bit of fun and should not be taken too seriously
The costs for repairs are dubious and never includes any labour charges
There is a lot of product placement however and the terraclean is just one small example

Hmm. This has to be wrong on a couple of levels.
10% increase in efficiency must mean you get 10% more power also. Whilst not impossible, I doubt it's possible without ignition timing changes. Unless there was something wrong with the engine (some sort of crap buildup that this product removes).
CO2 emissions cannot be reduced by 25%. They could be reduced by 10% if you reduced fuel consumption by 10%. To reduce it further, what you would you get instead when you burnt the petrol?
You can reduce CO and NOx emissions, but the only way this could happen is if you could improve the efficiency of the catalytic converter - so if it was clogged and this stuff cleaned it, fair enough.
In short, additives cannot make the engine better than it was by design, though they can return it to that state if they contain some sort of detergent that removes crap - though what that crap is and whether it's removed by the additive, who knows!
Cheers,
Robin

If you really want a good cheap power improvement then try one of those marvelous electric superchargers, the reviews are fantastic.

My (pro-ginge) sister once informed me that gingers get grey later in life...surely a bad thing?
