Does anyone have experience of Admiral Insurance?

I'm tempted by their multi-vehicle discount, which is considerable, but see a lot of negative reviews on the web. I'd be interested in members' own views and/or experiences of Admiral.

I have used admiral multi car for a few years now, can't say I have ever had any issues with them.. I have two cars on the policy at the moment, the exige is with someone else and my mk2 golf is with someone else again..

I would say however I have never had any accidents or need to claim so
I can't comment on that side of things..

I have used them on and off for the last 3/4years. Good other than once.

Sold my car and only had one car but what they did was cancel both so my wife was dsriving around with no insurance, and she's a cop!!
until i bought a new car and it came to light, not even an apology or nothing!!!

BUt they do seem to be far cheaper.

I've been with them for four years. You have to haggle on your renewal but other than that I have no concerns. Stupidly cheap too.

I've never had to claim with them though.

have 5 cars with them - hard to beat price wise - not sure what they are like in the event of a claim. Shame they limit multicar to 5 though - total pita!

My experience was that as soon as you modify something they're not interested. May revisit in the future but just now any policy I'm finding underwritten by Aviva is massively cheaper than elsewhere.

I think every VX with them has some sort of modification and it has caused no issues when insuring.

I was with them years ago and they mirrored my no claims to a 2nd car which worked out cheaper than their multi car, and meant I could take it elsewhere the following year. All I had to do was ask!

CCI are cheaper for the Elise now, as I hit the modifications issue and didn't want to take the risk.

Too much hassle in the haggling for a better price IMHO.
They could be surprisingly cheap for certain cars then ridiculous on another which made it all a bit of "swings and roundabouts" whether it was any cheaper at the end of the day.

25 mins work saved me £900. Worth it IMHO

Re modifications, as Craig said i've got the vx with them with induction, exhaust, stripes and grill and no issues.

It's suspension mods that don't wash. You're deemed to have changed the original chassis.
