I noticed Optimax is 6p/L more expensive at Drum (nr. Knockhill) than in Aberdeen.
105.99 vs 99.99 p/L

I am a softy, but feel the same way about effing birds at the moment.

We had a lovely crop of cherries on our small tree this year, my favouite fruit, and just as they became pickable, the feathered little twats stripped the whole tree overnight.

Still trying to find some hard facts on the new 100 RON Optimax that is supposedly replacing the 98 stuff.

My local Shell S/S check out lassie told me that she had been told that it was now called OptimaxV, had replaced the previous stock, but that was the extent of her info.

Anybody able to enlarge on this, as my Honda JPM is actually mapped on Jap 110 Ron fuel, which it gives max power on.

Tut - 110?!? That's a long way from 98/95 - I assume the engine has a knock sensor and adapts to the capabilities of the fuel - even so you would be looking at more than just ignition timing changes to take advantage of this type of fuel - a higher compression ratio would be needed I think and this would then not work at all well with 95/98.

Cheers
