This is going to come as quite a shock to everyone on here however I have just heard the news of Ally Rennie.

I really like Al, always thought he was a great guy and have recently been trying to get in touch with him. I know a lot of people have been looking for his contact details in recent months so I thought I should post this up....

i had heard a rumour, but wasn't sure so didn't spread it any further.
Not something i'd have expected from him.

Guess it's something no-one wants to talk about and I do feel bad for posting it online..... But if I had a family and knew him as well as I do then I would want to know.

just saw the thing on pistonheads as well, not a lot to say on that really!

He has been in my house... cleaned both my cars, spoken to my family.. not sure how I feel about this.. he did talk to me about something that happened in the past but I guess that was a cover in case anything else came out...

fcuk me... never expected anything like this..

That's the problem. I think the original charge was last year - at least that's the impression I get from what I have found out so far

Horrible thing to say however I guess that means a number of people on this forum will have had a registered S/O in their house and around their family.

No problem with it from me. I've known about this for quite a while (saw it in the paper earlier in the year) as have a lot of others on here.
AFAIK, he was caught with the child porn last year and was given a court order banning him from accessing the internet and place on the sex offenders register. He then broke that court order and was caught earlier this year and sentenced in September.

Ok.. lets just throw things on the table... as sh*t as it is... and bollocks to it..

The story I got was that an ex had accused him of looking at inappropriate pictures of her kids.. from Facebook.. so they were things that she had posted herself online, not him// he was accused of this after they had split and threatened by her that she would go to the police.. so how it ended up as far as it did I don't know, all I do know is he was crying his eyes out to me about not knowing what to do and was in bits about it.. I don't know... was it all a front or has he been fcuk over big style.... don't know.. the police obviously sided with the mother..

Had I heard this for the first time without having had the conversation with him before I would be ready to form a lynch mob and hang him from a tree.. now I just have an uncomfortable feeling about this..

Not in any way defending him, only telling what we talked about many months ago.. did anyone ask why he lost so much weight.. stress due to the accusation was the answer given to me..

I'm totally shocked by this . I left this this guy free in my house for several hours while I was at work .

Was angry enough at the fact he completely ripped me off , despite being so highly praised around here .

I'm not sure how he could get done for looking at images that his ex had posted and allowed anyone of her friends on facebook, not just him, to view. Not sure any mother would post indecent images of their child publicly.

I found out recently that one of my previous bosses had been puting young girls through hell for years and when he died after spending days in prison I thought that was too easy for him. These types are incessant liars and will do anything to cover their tracks and make up lots of stories to try and deflect you from the truth. It made me feel really sick actually!!

Having 2 girls myself I can't imagine what I'd do if I heard of something happening to them. Unfortunately the prevelance of this sort of thing makes you over protective.

Shug, do what you think is best but it does no good to let this turn into something it isn't.

It is a shock, but there is no way that it can be hid under a bushel and it is going to be talked about.

Like many on here I knew Ally well, he did a great job on N1 and the Audi TT, and stayed with us then, and also called in just to say hello. He was a very likeable guy, but from what has been posted, he had another side to him, although thankfully it appears he stuck to images and never went as far as molestation.

It is a very sad situation, and that about sums it up.
