Edited as on second thoughts don't want to cause offence.
As you were people - move along nothing to see here.

It's slightly racist but it's hugely funny. I do love that joke

Ach it was all clearly in jest. Thats what jokes are for. I'd have left it.

Just shows how far we have gone nowadays. How is it any different from English, Irishman, Scotsman, Pope, Jew and all the others that we do not think twice about and have a laugh at. It just so happens that this joke had to be black to work.
If I were black I would be more offended that this had turned into an issue by you whiteys, as instead of accepting that colour does not come into it, it is actually doing the opposite.

Know what you mean Tut and I thought it was a genuinely funny joke so posted it up, however I had a niggle about doing so - if it was a closed forum I would have left it but my conscience bothered me that someone may take offence and I binned it.
I do think that 'how far we have gone' is a good thing and applaud that people are more tolerant but I also don't want to be labelled because of a post on a public forum.
Too cautious? maybe

Not necessarily, it is more that you had to think that it should be removed as nowadays it could have caused offence instead of just being plain funny.
With being in the Forces half my life I have some very close black friends, and I can assure you they would have laughed at it, and probably posted their own black man/white man jokes. We have a statute of rules on here that includes racism, homophobia comments, personal abuse etc, and it very rarely has to be used. I was pulled up at the start for calling people jokingly poofters, hence it is now woofters.
Incredibly, as far as I know, we do not have a black in the Forum, just various shades of sun tan, or we could have asked him.

Indeed, re-post it politically correct, so in stead of the d word

use the above and we're good to go.

Funny enough when I read it , there had been a few veiws and no posts, which said it all. One has to be rather pc on the pc nowadays in certain regards and quite rightly so...........

I was walking through the parkt he other night and a guy threw sodium chloride over me quickly followed some sulphuric acid.
It was terrible. I didn't know how to react
I'm a science teacher and once I asked one of my lazy students if he knew the chemical symbol for sodium. He replide, 'NA'

The Greek economy is in such a bad state that producers of taramasalata and humous could go bust... It's a double dip recession for sure
