Dom should be going along with his other half. He's more active over on Yahoo, though.

If anyone's interested, I think they are closing the Forth road bridge at about 2pm on Thursday to allow the touring cars to be driven over, I believe they even have to pay the toll, it's a bit of a publicity stunt similar to the one they did in Newcastle to promote the race at Croft.

That would be cool to see! I remember a few years back going to watch as they drove down Pincess street, but I cant remember if it was the cars or just the team trucks etc.

I'm going on Sunday with some folk from work - not in my own car tough as one of the guys paid extra £10 for parking at the circuit so I'll be taking a lift in a rep-mobile for the day. Looking forward to it, should be a good day out.

Went along yesterday. Good racing but it rained most of the day, which was slightly irritating. Thankfully I had my trusty VX Racing poncho to see me through the day :)

Took some pics, they're all here:

I made it down - used to go to the touring cars back in the mid nineties back when it was huge. What a disappointment. Weather didn't help but really the whole thing is just pish now. Halfords sponsored cars - you kidding? Thought I saw a Corsa with neons towards the back of the grid but might have been mistaken...
It used to be all rorty saloon cars going three abreast through Duffas Dip (sorry, Seat Curves) - now it looks like any night in the city centre... As for the turn out, I've seen more people at a hot hatch day. (oh yeah - it WAS a hot hatch day)
I remember reading a few years ago that KH was going to drop the Touring Cars as the promoter (TOCA?) wanted so much money to host it, it was hard to break even. If that's the quality of the show, no f*cking wonder... £25? Taking the p!$$
Oh and to top it off, the retard in the car park (boggy field) directed me down some rutted track that the Discovery in front was struggling with. Nice one, guys. I'm bottomed out on the central verge and he's impatiently waving me on. KH should stick to track days - its about all its good for...

Rant over
